Bold claim: 2025 ends on a high note for a rising Filipino star as he seeks to seal the year with a championship defense. Kenneth Llover aims to finish 2025 in dramatic fashion by facing China’s Ayati Sailike on December 27 at the Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Japan.
The 22-year-old contender is prepared to defend his OPBF bantamweight title, marking his fourth pro bout of the year.
“This is my last fight of the year, and I want nothing less than an exceptional performance to defend my OPBF bantamweight title,” Llover stated.
Llover’s confidence follows a dominant October showing, where he stopped Argentina’s Luciano Baldor in the first round, pushing his record to an undefeated 16-0. All three of his wins this year have come by knockout or stoppage, underscoring his growing power and finish capability.
His longtime coach and mentor, Gerry Peñalosa—an accomplished two-division world champion—believes Llover is nearing a world title shot, especially given vacancies in the IBF bantamweight rankings. “But first, we must conquer the challenge ahead. He cannot be underestimated,” Peñalosa cautioned.
