The Trump Phone Saga Continues: Still No Sign of the T1 Phone in 2026 (2026)

The ongoing saga of my elusive Trump phone keeps proving that sometimes, hope is all we have—though patience might be the real test. As 2026 dawns, I find myself still waiting for the device I ordered back in June, despite nearly seven months passing since I handed over my deposit. And honestly, I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever hold that phone in my hands.

Happy New Year to everyone! I truly hope 2026 turns out to be your best year yet. While I could make some predictions—for instance, Samsung launching the Galaxy S26, Apple unveiling a foldable iPhone, and the supposed bursting of the AI bubble—there's one thing I can't foresee: when I will finally receive my Trump phone. Despite pre-ordering and putting down a $100 deposit, I’ve got nothing concrete to show for it.

Back in July, just three months after I pre-ordered, I published an update (https://www.androidauthority.com/trump-phone-three-months-3597805/) explaining the situation at that point. If you haven't read it, I encourage you to do so to understand what transpired up to that time.

Since then, little has changed—yet I recently received a brief message from Trump Mobile explaining why there’s been radio silence around their first product. And this is where the story gets interesting—and perhaps controversial.

So, when can I expect my Trump phone to arrive?

Just like my previous check-ins, I called the customer service line at 1-888-TRUMP45 to get an update. The experience was surprisingly familiar: I was prompted to choose English (which, I admit, felt a bit odd since Trump Mobile is an American company and offers Spanish options—why?). I was quickly connected to a representative who claimed to be based in Missouri.

My main question was simple: When will my T1 Phone ship? The representative explained that a government shutdown had caused delays. Now, here’s where things get a little dubious—since Trump Mobile is a private enterprise run by Trump’s two eldest sons, it’s puzzling that a government shutdown would impact the phone’s release. Typically, such delays relate to regulatory clearances like FCC approval, but that would usually have been completed well before now. Interestingly, earlier in September, another representative told me the phone was expected to ship by the end of October—a timeline that now feels unlikely if delays persist.

The current representative admitted they’re uncertain why no emails have been sent out to inform customers about the delay, nor why shipments haven't resumed after the shutdown ended. The best they could offer was a hopeful deadline—expect the phone by the end of January. But here’s the catch: each time I check, the scheduled shipment date shifts by just one month. Should we really accept that “expected delivery” as definitive, or is this just corporate speak for “we have no idea”?

I’m choosing to wait patiently.

When I ordered my Trump phone in June, I knew what I was signing up for: a potentially faulty device, or even a scam. Sadly, the signs now lean toward the latter. But I’m committed to waiting. I’ve now invested $100, and I’ll keep writing updates until one of two things happens: either I get to purchase the phone at its full retail price of $499, or I get my money back.

Honestly, I deeply wish the phone would arrive. I’d love to review it—curious about what started as a Chinese iPhone clone, then became an actual iPhone, and now seems to resemble a Galaxy S25 Ultra (https://www.androidauthority.com/trump-mobile-galaxy-s25-ultra-3590291/). What does it look like? What's inside the box? Is it gold-plated? How many Android updates will it receive? How is its camera quality? The anticipation is real.

But let’s get real—at this point, I expect the worst. I wouldn’t be surprised if I never see the device or recover my $100 deposit. So, stay tuned—I’ll check back in three months, likely with more questions than answers.

Thank you for following this journey, and feel free to share your thoughts. Do you think the Trump phone will ever see the light of day, or is this all just a sophisticated scam? Drop your opinion in the comments—your perspective might just change how we all see this unfolding.
